Sharon Pierce

Sharon Velarde Pierce is an Associate Professor of Public Administration at California State University, San Bernardino. She has served as a K-12 school administrator for almost 25 years.  Her research focuses on the experiences of Latina women in leadership roles, first generation college students, and more recently, the experiences of undocumented students. As an educator, she is committed to building a supportive learning environment through culturally responsive pedagogies that focus on a student-centered approach.
